Every Thursday and Friday throughout the Biennial, free shuttles transport visitors to Racine, Wisconsin to explore the SC Johnson corporate headquarters. The tour features the Frank Lloyd Wright–designed Administration Building (opened in 1939), Research Tower (opened in 1950), Fortaleza Hall, designed by Foster + Partners, and the Lily Pad gift shop.
10 am: Departure from outside of the Chicago Cultural Center 78 E Washington St, Chicago, IL 60602. The bus is located at the intersection of Washington St and N Garland Ct.
10 am-Noon: Bus trip to SC Johnson in Racine, Wis.
Noon-1 pm: Lunch on bus available for purchase from O&H Danish Bakery
1-3 pm: Tour SC Johnson campus, including SC Johnson Research Tower; SC Johnson Administration Building; Fortaleza Hall; Lily Pad gift shop
3-6 pm: Return trip from SC Johnson to Chicago Cultural Center
Return trip arrival times are approximate.
