Julia S. Bachrach, Chicago Park District historian and author of The City in a Garden: A History of Chicago’s Parks will illuminate the many ways in which Chicago parks helped inspire the development of Prairie style architecture and landscape designs. Works by architects Dwight H. Perkins, Hugh M.G. Garden, and landscape architects Jens Jensen and Alfred Caldwell will be highlighted. Sites will include Lincoln, Humboldt, Garfield, and Columbus Parks.
Tour will meet outside of the 78 E. Washington entrance.
