Frank Lloyd Wright spoke of Beethoven as one of his influences, referring to the composer as "a great architect." David Patterson will lecture on the place of music in the thought and work of Wright. Tours of the National Historic Landmark sanctuary of Second Presbyterian Church will be given before and after the lecture. A reception will precede the lecture.

Musicologist David Patterson is currently writing a book on the place of music in the thought and work of Wright. He produced a recording of music composed by Wright's father in 2013. He is a frequent lecturer on Frank Lloyd Wright.

All lectures are held at Second Presbyterian Church at 7:00pm, with tours, a reception, and light refreshments beginning at 6:00pm.
