Please join us for a special Closing Party & Auction with Stanley Tigerman. The Currencies of Architecture exhibition centerpiece "Come to the Table" will be disassembled and each tabletop, featuring a print of The Titanic photomontage, and signed by Stanley Tigerman will be up for auction. It will be a unique opportunity to own one of these historic limited edition artifacts.

Come to the Table is an installation made of reconfigurable elements that serve as a platform for dialogue. The construct is a framework to engage local architects, artists and thinkers in questioning What is the State of the Art of Architecture Today?

A principal in the Chicago architectural and design firm of Tigerman McCurry and a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, Stanley Tigerman has thus far designed over 450 buildings and installations around the world throughout his 51 years in private practice.  He was the founding member of “The Chicago Seven” as well as the Chicago Architectural Club.  In 2008, Mr. Tigerman was named the recipient of the AIA/ACSA Topaz Medallion for Excellence in Architectural Education as well as the AIA Illinois Gold Medal in recognition of outstanding lifetime service.  This year, Stanley Tigerman was honored by AIA Chicago with the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award.  The author of seven books, he recently completed an essay on “erring” for Perspecta, Yale Architecture School’s journal due out in the fall and is currently working on his next manuscript on “Aura: Unattainable Architectural Longings.”
