UrbanLab was cofounded by Martin Felsen and Sarah Dunn in Chicago, as a collaborative office practicing architecture and urban design. Their projects range from urban infrastructures to residential projects to architecture installations. The firm exhibited work in the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2010 and 2012, and over time has garnered several awards from the American Institute of Architects.
