Plan:b was founded in the year 2000 and is based in the city of Medellin, Colombia. The Colombian architects Felipe and Federico Mesa currently lead it. They are both teachers at the Universidad Pontifica Bolivariana in Medellin.
Plan:b understands material practices as areas of convergence between society and the environment. Its work is generated primarily through participation in architectural competitions, and constant collaboration with other professionals. Important works include the Orquideorama for the Medellín Botanical Garden, Flor del Campo School in Cartagena, and several primary schools in Medellín.
