Johnston Marklee, led by principals Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee, has a diverse portfolio of built projects, such as the Hill House in Los Angeles (2004). The firm draws upon an extensive network of collaborators to expand the breadth of design research, with a particular focus on the arts. Current projects include a new building for the Menil Drawing Institute in Houston, Texas, and a forthcoming book, House is a House is a House is a House is a House. Johnston and Lee are teaching a multi-year studio at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.
